Demonstration circuit 2677A is a reference design for robust industrial data acquisition applications for the LTC®2358-18. The LTC2358-18 is capable of high voltage measurements with a large input common range; however, the DC2677A implements input protection that allows up to 400V of continuous input protection. Combined with gas discharge tubes, which provide protection from surges, the DC2677A is capable of surviving extreme abuse. This reference design includes the LTC2358-18 SAR ADC, ADA4522-2 dual zero-drift operational amplifier, and an LT6658 dual-output, high current reference for sensor excitation. The digital interface is an HSMC (high-speed mezzanine connector), which is compatible with Altera Cyclone V SoCkit and other Altera FPGA evaluation boards that support 3.3V CMOS I/O.

This device features per-channel SoftSpan™ configuration of 3.125mA to 300mA, a separate supply for each output, and an internal switch to allow any output pin to be connected to V−. Pin-compatible 12-bit versions are available for lower resolution requirements on the DC2692A-B.

Demonstration circuit 2721A-A features the LTM4623 µModule® regulator, a tiny high performance high efficiency step-down regulator configured as an inverting buck-boost regulator. The DC2721A-A has an operating input voltage range of 4V to 15V and is able to provide an output current of up to 2A. The output voltage can be programmed between –0.6V and –5.5V. The LTM4623 is a complete DC/DC point of load regulator in a thermally enhanced 6.25mm × 6.25mm × 1.82mm LGA package requiring only a few input and output capacitors. LTC7880 Demo Board | High Voltage Dual Step-up DC/DC Converter with Digital Power System Management

Demonstration circuit 2728A is a high voltage, dual output boost converter with 12V to 24V input range. The output voltage is adjustable from VIN to 48V. Each output can supply 5A maximum load current. The demo board has a LTC7880 controller, which is a 60V dual output step-up controller with digital power system management. Please see LTC7880 data sheet for more detailed information. DC2728A powers up to default settings and produces power based on configuration resistors or its nonvolatile memory (NVM) without the need for any serial bus communication. This allows easy evaluation of the DC/DC converter. To fully explore the extensive power system management features of the part, download the GUI software LTpowerPlay® onto your PC and use ADI’s I2C/SMBus/PMBus dongle DC1613A to connect to the board. LTpowerPlay allows the user to reconfigure the part on-the-fly and store the configuration in EEPROM, view telemetry of voltage, current, temperature and fault status.

Demonstration circuit 788A is a complete constant-current, constant-voltage battery charger for one Lithium-Ion cell and featuring the LTC4061EDD. The demo board has an input voltage range of 4.3V to 8V, suitable for USB applications. Jumpers on the board allow charge currents from 50mA to 1A to be programmed and several charge termination methods to be used. Terminals are provided for adding a thermistor for sensing battery temperature, shutting down the charger, monitoring charge current and programming the minimum charge current level for termination (IDETECT). The LTC4061 features an internal P-channel power MOSFET with a unique thermal feedback loop that reduces the output current under high ambient temperature and/or high power dissipation conditions. This feature allows the charger to provide higher charge currents under normal conditions and still provide safe charging under abnormal conditions such as high ambient temperature, high input voltage or low battery voltage.

The LTC4061-4.4 is a full-featured, flexible, standalone linear charger for single-cell 4.375V Lithium-Ion batteries. It is capable of operating within USB power specifications.Both programmable time and programmable current based termination schemes are available. Furthermore, the CHRG open-drain status pin can be programmed to indicate the battery charge state according to the needs of the application. Additional safety features designed to maximize battery lifetime and reliability include NTC battery temperature sensing and the SmartStart charging algorithm.No external sense resistor or external blocking diode is required for charging due to the internal MOSFET architecture. Internal thermal feedback regulates the charge current to maintain a constant die temperature during high power operation or high ambient temperature conditions. The charge current is programmed with an external resistor. Demonstration Circuit 797 is a constant-frequency synchronous Buck-Boost converter using the LTC3440EDD in the 3mm × 3mm DFN-10 package. The input range is from 2.5V to 5.5V, making it ideal for single-cell Lithium-Ion or three-cell NiCd/NiMH battery applications. For 2.7V minimum input voltage, this converter can provide up to 600mA load current. The output voltage is set at 3.3V. A different output voltage in the range of 2.5V to 5.25V can be obtained by changing one of the feedback resistors.

The LT1993-2 is a low distortion, low noise Differential Ampli?er/ADC driver for use in applications from DC to 800MHz. The LT1993-2 has been designed for ease of use, with minimal support circuitry required. Exceptionally low input-referred noise and low distortion products (with either single-ended or differential inputs) make the LT1993-2 an excellent solution for driving high speed 12-bit and 14-bit ADCs. In addition to the normal un? ltered outputs (+OUT and ?OUT), the LT1993-2 has a built-in 175MHz differential low pass ?lter and an additional pair of ?ltered outputs (+OUTFILTERED, ?OUTFILTERED) to reduce external ?ltering components when driving high speed ADCs. The output common mode voltage is easily set via the VOCM pin, eliminating either an output transformer or AC-coupling capacitors in many applications.The LT1993-2 is designed to meet the demanding requirements of communications transceiver applications. It can be used as a differential ADC driver, a general-purpose differential gain block, or in any other application requiring differential drive.
