The LTC3415 is a high efficiency, monolithic synchronous buck regulator using a phase lockable constant frequency, current mode architecture. PolyPhase? operation allows multiple LTC3415s to run out of phase while using minimal input and output capacitance. The operating supply range is from 5.5V down to 2.5V, making it suitable for single Lithium-Ion battery as well as point of load power supply applications. Burst Mode operation provides high efficiency at low load currents. 100% duty cycle provides low dropout operation that extends operating time in battery-operated systems. The operating frequency is internally set at 1.5MHz, allowing the use of small surface mount inductors. For switching-noise sensitive applications, it can be externally synchronized from 0.75MHz to 2.25MHz. The PHMODE pin allows user control of the phase of the outgoing clock signal. The current sense comparator is factory trimmed for accurate output current sharing. Burst Mode operation is inhibited during synchronization or when the MODE pin is pulled low to reduce noise and RF interference.Applications Point of Load Power Supply Portable Instruments Distributed Power Systems Battery-Powered Equipment

The LTC3441 is a high efficiency, fixed frequency, buck-boost DC/DC converter that operates efficiently from input voltages above, below or equal to the output voltage. The topology incorporated in the IC provides a continuous transfer function through all operating modes, making the product ideal for single lithium ion or multicell applications where the output voltage is within the battery voltage range. The device includes two 0.10? N-channel MOSFET switches and two 0.11? P-channel switches. External Schottky diodes are optional, and can be used for a moderate efficiency improvement. The operating frequency is internally set to 1MHz and can be synchronized up to 1.7MHz. Quiescent current is only 25?A in Burst Mode operation, maximizing battery life in portable applications. Burst Mode operation is user controlled and can be enabled by driving the MODE/SYNC pin high. If the MODE/SYNC pin is driven low or with a clock, then fixed frequency switching is enabled.Other features include a 1?A shutdown, soft-start control, thermal shutdown and current limit. The LTC3441 is available in a thermally enhanced 12-lead (4mm ? 3mm) DFN package.Applications Handheld Computers Handheld Instruments MP3 Players Digital Cameras

The LTC4060 is a complete fast charging system for NiMH or NiCd batteries. Just a few external components are needed to design a standalone linear charging system. An external PNP transistor provides charge current that is user programmable with a resistor. A small external capacitor sets the maximum charge time. No external current sense resistor is needed, and no blocking diode is required. The IC automatically senses the DC input supply and battery insertion or removal. Heavily discharged batteries are initially charged at a C/5 rate before a fast charge is applied. Fast charge is terminated using the ??V detection method. Backup termination consists of a programmable timer and battery overvoltage detector. An optional external NTC thermistor can be used for temperature-based qualification of charging. An optional programmable recharge feature automatically recharges batteries after discharge.Manual shutdown is accomplished with the SHDN pin, while removing input power automatically puts the LTC4060 into sleep mode. During shutdown or sleep mode, battery drain is

The LTC2604/LTC2614/LTC2624 are quad 16-,14- and 12-bit 2.5V to 5.5V rail-to-rail voltage output DACs in 16-lead narrow SSOP packages. These parts have separate reference inputs for each DAC. They have built-in high performance output buffers and are guaranteed monotonic. These parts establish advanced performance standards for output drive, crosstalk and load regulation in single supply, voltage output multiples. The parts use a simple SPI/MICROWIRE?compatible 3-wire serial interface which can be operated at clock rates up to 50MHz. Daisy-chain capability and a hardware CLR function are included. The LTC2604/LTC2614/LTC2624 incorporate a poweron reset circuit. During power-up, the voltage outputs rise less than 10mV above zero scale; and after power-up, they stay at zero scale until a valid write and update take place. The power-on reset circuit resets the LTC2604-1/ LTC2614-1/LTC2624-1 to midscale. The voltage outputs stay at midscale until a valid write and update take place.Applications Mobile Communications Process Control and Industrial Automation Instrumentation Automatic Test Equipment
