Small and Simple Isolated Flyback Universal Vin: 5.2V@200mA: Primary-side Regulated Reference Design
Texas Instruments
Design features low component count and low cost isolated flyback: converting the universal mains (85Vac…275Vac) to 5.2V@200mA. Due to primary side regulation of the controller UCC28700: no optocoupler is needed to close the loop.

Interfacing the TLC5510 Analog-to-Digital Converter to the TMS320C203 DSP
Texas Instruments
This application report presents guidelines for interfacing the Texas Instruments (TI(TM)) TLC5510 8-bit parallel-output analog-to-digital converter (ADC) to the TI TMS320C203 DSP data bus. The 8-bit ADC operates at a rate of 20 MHz. EVAL-ADAQ4001FMCZ
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADAQ4001 is a ?Module? precision data acquisition (DAQ), signal chain solution that reduces the development cycle of a precision measurement system by transferring the signal chain design challenge of component selection, optimization, and layout from the designer to the device. Using system-in-package (SIP) technology, the ADAQ4001 reduces end system component count by combining multiple common signal processing and conditioning blocks into a single device. These blocks include a high resolution 16-bit, 2 MSPS successive approximation register (SAR), analog-to-digital converter (ADC), a low noise, fully differential ADC driver amplifier (FDA), and a stable reference buffer. Using Analog Devices, Inc., iPassives? technology, the ADAQ4001 also incorporates crucial passive components with superior matching and drift characteristics to minimize temperature dependent error sources and to offer optimized performance (see Figure 1 in the data sheet). Housing this signal chain solution in a small, 7 mm ? 7 mm, 0.80 mm pitch, 49-ball CSP_BGA enables compact form factor designs without sacrificing performance and simplifies end system bill of materials management. This level of system integration makes the ADAQ4001 much less sensitive to printed circuit board (PCB) layout while still providing flexibility to adapt to a wide range of signal levels. The serial peripheral interface (SPI)-compatible, serial user interface is compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3 V, or 5 V logic, using a separate VIO supply. Specified operation of the ADAQ4001 is from ?40?C to +125?C.APPLICATIONSAutomatic test equipmentMachine automationProcess controlsMedical instrumentationDigital control loops

LTC3867EUF Demo Board | 4.5 ≤ VIN ≤ 14V, VOUT = 1.5V @ 15A
Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 1771A is a single output synchronous buck converter featuring the LTC3867EUF with a 24-lead 4mm × 4mm QFN package. The input voltage range is from 4.5V to 14V and it provides 1.5V at 15A at the output. The DC1771A is configured with a sense resistor. DCR sensing circuit is optional. Using the inductor’s DCR as the sense element instead of the on-board sense resistor saves cost and board space while improving full-load efficiency over 2%, though the sense resistor provides a more accurate current limit.

LT3754EUH Demo Board | 16-Channel Boost LED Driver, 20V ≤ VIN ≤ 28V, VLED = 55V @ 50mA
Analog Devices Inc.
DC1436A is a 16-Channel High Voltage Boost LED Driver featuring the LT3754. The LT3754 drives up to 50mA per string and has a maximum LED string voltage of 45V. The VIN terminal is powered from an 8V to 14V input supply and is distinct from the 24V PVIN supply (20V to 28V) for best thermal performance. Overvoltage protection is set at 55V in case the LEDs are removed from the circuit. If the LEDs are opened, the FAULT terminal output flag goes low and reports the fault condition. If one or more of the 16 LED channels is not used, its LED pin or terminal should be tied to VOUT (LED+) to disable it. Multiple channels can be tied in parallel by tying their LED1-LED16 pins together.

EVAL-AD1937AZ

The AD1937 is a high performance, single-chip codec that provides four analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) with differential input and eight digital-to-analog converters (DACs) with differential output, using the Analog Devices, Inc., patented multibit sigma-delta (?-?) architecture. An I2C? port is included, allowing a microcontroller to adjust volume and many other parameters. The AD1937 operates from 3.3 V digital and analog supplies. The AD1937 is available in a 64-lead (differential output) LQFP.The AD1937 is designed for low EMI. This consideration is apparent in both the system and circuit design architectures. By using the on-board PLL to derive the master clock from the LR (frame) clock or from an external crystal, the AD1937 eliminates the need for a separate high frequency master clock and can also be used with a suppressed bit clock. The DACs and ADCs are designed using the latest Analog Devices continuous time architecture to further minimize EMI. By using 3.3 V supplies, power consumption is minimized and further reduces emissions.ApplicationsAutomotive audio systems Home theater systemsSet-top boxesDigital audio effects processorsData Sheet, Rev. 0, 9/08

ADAR1000EVAL1Z
Analog Devices Inc.
The ADAR1000 is a 4-channel, X and Ku frequency band, beamforming core chip for phased arrays. This device operates in half-duplex between receive and transmit modes. In receive mode, input signals pass through four receive channels and are combined and output at the common RF_IO pin. In transmit mode, the RF_IO input signal is split and passes through the four transmit channels. In both modes, the ADAR1000 provides a ?31 dB gain adjustment range and a full 360? phase adjustment range in each radio frequency (RF) channel, with 6-bit resolution (less than ?0.5 dB and 2.8?, respectively).A simple 4-wire serial port interface (SPI) controls all of the on-chip registers. In addition, two address pins allow SPI control of up to four devices on the same serial lines. Dedicated transmit and receive load pins also provide synchronization of all ADAR1000 chips in the same array, and a single pin controls fast switching between the transmit and receive modes. The ADAR1000 is fabricated in a silicon-germanium, bipolar CMOS (BiCMOS) process. The device is available in a compact, 88-terminal, 7 mm ? 7 mm, LGA package and is specified from ?40?C to +85?C.APPLICATIONS Phased array radar Satellite communications systems
