Demonstration circuit 1055 is a 250mA Universal Nine Channel Multimode (1x, 1.5x, 2x) Charge Pump LED Driver with two RGB displays and three white LEDs featuring the LTC3219. The LTC3219 is a low noise charge pump designed to drive nine universal LED current sources. The input voltage range is 2.9V to 5.5V. Each channel provides 28mA of LED current. The LTC3219 requires only five small ceramic capacitors to form a complete LED power supply and current controller. The maximum display currents are set with an internal precision current reference. On/Off blinking, gradation, and intensity are achieved via an I2C serial interface. There are 64 dimming states available for the universal LEDs. The DC590 controller board is required for proper operation.

Demonstration circuit 1677A is a dual 60V monolithic 1A step-down regulator featuring the LT3988. The demo board operates from inputs up to 60V. The outputs are 5V, 1A and 3.3V, 1A. The wide input range of the LT3988 allows a variety of input sources, such as commercial vehicle batteries and industrial supplies. The switching frequency can be programmed either via oscillator resistor or external clock over a 250kHz to 2.5MHz range. The LT3988 internal boost diodes and loop compensation reduce the components count and solution size. The current mode control scheme creates fast transient response and good loop stability. The EN/UVLO pin can be used to set the part in micropower shutdown mode, reducing the supply current to less than 2μA.

Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration Circuit DC2100B-D is a stackable, bidirectional cell balancer slave board using the LTC6804-2 and the LTC3300-1 ICs to achieve active balancing of up to 12 Li-Ion cells. It requires the DC2100B-C for proper operation. The DC2100B-D uses a single LTC6804-2 Multi-Cell Addressable Battery Stack Monitor IC to measure cell voltages and two LTC3300-1 Synchronous Flyback ICs to provide active cell balancing. The DC2100B-C controller board contains a PIC18F47J53 microcontroller, the LTM2884 isolated USB transceiver, the LTC6804-2, two LTC3300-1 ICs, and the LTC6820 isoSPI Interface IC to facilitate isolated communication. Up to seven DC2100B-D boards can be connected to a DC2100B-C to build a stacked system of eight total boards.

The LTC6811 is a multicell battery stack monitor that measures up to 12 series connected battery cells with a total measurement error of less than 1.2mV. The cell measurement range of 0V to 5V makes the LTC6811 suitable for most battery chemistries. All 12 cells can be measured in 290?s, and lower data acquisition rates can be selected for high noise reduction.Multiple LTC6811 devices can be connected in series, permitting simultaneous cell monitoring of long, high voltage battery strings. Each LTC6811 has an isoSPI interface for high speed, RF-immune, long distance communications. Using the LTC6811-1, multiple devices are connected in a daisy chain with one host processor connection for all devices. Using the LTC6811-2, multiple devices are connected in parallel to the host processor, with each device individually addressed. The LTC6811 can be powered directly from the battery stack or from an isolated supply. The LTC6811 includes passive balancing for each cell, with individual PWM duty cycle control for each cell. Other features include an onboard 5V regulator, five general purpose I/O lines and a sleep mode, where current consumption is reduced to 4?A.Applications Electric and Hybrid Electric Vehicles Backup Battery Systems Grid Energy Storage High Power Portable Equipment

Reinforced Isolated IGBT Gate Drive Flyback Power Supply with 8 Outputs Reference Design
Texas Instruments
This reference design provides reinforced isolated positive and negative voltage rails required for Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) gate drivers from a single 24-volt DC input supply. Utilizing a flyback isolated control topology: this reference design provides isolation compliant to IEC61800-5: and generates power rails for all three arms of the 3-phase inverter from a single transformer. The output power is currently set at 2W/IGBT but can be scaled up for higher power IGBTs by changing the transformer design.

The LTC2688 is a 16-channel,16-bit, ?15 V digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with an integrated precision reference. The LTC2688 is guaranteed monotonic and has built in rail-to-rail output buffers that can source or sink up to 20 mA. This SoftSpan? DAC offers five output ranges up to ?15 V. The range of each channel is independently programmable. The internal 4.096 V precision reference sets the accuracy of the output voltage. An external reference can be used for additional range options. Three toggle pins support Input Register A and Input Register B toggle or sinusoidal dither at multiple frequencies. An analog multiplexer simplifies measurement of pin voltages, load currents, and junction temperature.Programmable offset and gain registers improve the accuracy of the DAC outputs. The serial peripheral interface (SPI) and MICROWIRE?-compatible, 3-wire serial interface operates on logic levels as low as 1.71 V and clock rates up to 50 MHz.APPLICATIONSOptical networkingInstrumentationData acquisitionAutomatic test equipmentProcess control and industrial automation

The AD5673R/AD5677R are low power, 16-channel, 12-/16-bit, buffered voltage output, digital-to-analog converters (DACs) that include a 2.5 V, 2 ppm/?C internal reference (enabled by default), and a gain select pin, resulting in a full-scale output of 2.5 V (gain = 1) or 5 V (gain = 2). The devices operate from a single, 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply range and are guaranteed monotonic by design. The AD5673R/AD5677R are available in a 28-lead lead frame chip scale package (LFCSP) and incorporate a power-on reset (POR) circuit that ensures that the DAC outputs power up to and remain at zero scale or midscale until a valid write. The AD5673R/AD5677R contain a power-down mode that reduces the current consumption to 2 ?A typical.Applications Optical transceivers Base station power amplifiers Process control (programmable logic controller (PLC) input/output cards) Industrial automation Data acquisition systems Product Highlights High channel density: 16 channels in 4 mm ? 4 mm LFCSP.
