Dead-Time Generation on the TMS320C24x
Texas Instruments
A Dead-Band generator protects the power semiconductors during the commutation. The dead time is programmable between 0?s and 102?s. This time range is sufficient for all kinds of power semi-conductors (MOSFET IGBT BIPOLAR and THYRISTOR) in a wide range of kW (kiloWatt) or HP (Horse Powers).TMS320C24x Dead-Band separates the transition edges of two signals: output and complemented output b

The LTM9008-14/LTM9007-14/LTM9006-14 are 8-channel, simultaneous sampling 14-bit A/D converters designed for digitizing high frequency, wide dynamic range signals. AC performance includes 73dB SNR and 90dB spurious free dynamic range (SFDR). Low power consumption per channel reduces heat in high channel count applications. Integrated bypass capacitance and flowthrough pinout reduces overall board space requirements.DC specs include ?1LSB INL (typ), ?0.3LSB DNL (typ) and no missing codes over temperature. The transition noise is a low 1.2LSBRMS.The digital outputs are serial LVDS to minimize the number of data lines. Each channel outputs two bits at a time (2-lane mode). At lower sampling rates there is a one bit per channel option (1-lane mode). The ENC+ and ENC? inputs may be driven differentially or single-ended with a sine wave, PECL, LVDS, TTL, or CMOS inputs. An internal clock duty cycle stabilizer allows high performance at full speed for a wide range of clock duty cycles.Applications Communications Cellular Base Stations Software Defined Radios Portable Medical Imaging Multichannel Data Acquisition Nondestructive Testing

The LMZ13610/8 and LMZ12010/8 SIMPLE SWITCHER® power modules are easy-to-use DC-DC solution capable of driving up to a 10A load. They are available in an innovative package that enhances thermal performance and allows for hand or machine soldering. The LMZ13610/8 can accept an input voltage rail between 6V and 36V and the LMZ12010/8 can accept an input voltage rail between 6V and 20V. The devices can deliver an adjustable and highly accurate output voltage as low as 0.8V and as high as 6V. The control structure is constant frequency PWM. The control loop operates well with low ESR output capacitors such as ceramics. The precision enable input allows for programmable UVLO of the input supply. The external soft-start capacitor facilitates a controlled and adjustable startup rise time of the output. The LMZ13610 and LMZ12010 family is a reliable and robust solution with the following features: loss-less cycle-by-cycle valley current limit to protect for over current or short-circuit fault, thermal shutdown, input under-voltage lockout, and will start up into a pre-biased output. Free-running switching frequency is 350 kHz.

The ADP1882?/ ADP1883 are versatile current-mode, synchronous step-down controllers that provide superior transient response, optimal stability, and current-limit protection by using a constant on-time, pseudo-fixed frequency with a programmable current-limit, current-control scheme. In addition, these devices offer optimum performance at low duty cycles by using valley current-mode control architecture. This allows the ADP1882 / ADP1883 to drive all N-channel power stages to regulate output voltages as low as 0.8 V.The ADP1883 is the power saving mode (PSM) version of the device and is capable of pulse skipping to maintain output regulation while achieving improved system efficiency at light loads (see the Power Saving Mode (PSM) Version (ADP1883) section for more information).Available in three frequency options (300 kHz, 600 kHz, and 1.0 MHz, plus the PSM option), the ADP1882/ADP1883 are well suited for a wide range of applications. These ICs not only operate from a 2.75 V to 5.5 V bias supply, but they also can accept a power input as high as 20 V.In addition, an internally fixed soft start period is included to limit input in-rush current from the input supply during startup and to provide reverse current protection during soft start for a pre-charged output. The low-side current-sense, current-gain scheme and integration of a boost diode, along with the PSM/forced pulse-width modulation (PWM) option, reduce the external part count and improve efficiency. The ADP1882 / ADP1883 operate over the -40?C to +125?C junction temperature range and are available in a 10-lead MSOP.

The ADA4570 is an anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) sensor with integrated signal conditioning amplifiers and analog-to-digital converter (ADC) drivers. The ADA4570 produces two differential analog outputs that indicate the angular position of the surrounding magnetic field. The ADA4570 consists of two die within one package, an AMR sensor, and a fixed gain instrumentation amplifier. The ADA4570 delivers amplified differential cosine and sine output signals, with respect to the angle, when the magnetic field is rotating in the x-axis and the y-axis (x-y) plane. The output voltage range is ratiometric to the supply voltage. The sensor contains two Wheatstone bridges, at a relative angle of 45? to one another. A complete rotation of a dipole magnet produces two periods on the sinusoidal outputs. Therefore, the magnetic angle (?) calculated from the SIN and COS differential outputs represents the physical orientation of the magnet with respect to the ADA4570 in the 0? to 180? measurement range. Within a homogeneous field in the x-y plane, the output signals of the ADA4570 are independent of the physical placement in the z direction (air gap). The ADA4570 is available in an 8-lead SOIC package.APPLICATIONS Absolute position measurement (linear and angle) Brushless dc motor control and positioning Actuator control and positioning Contactless angular measurement and detection Magnetic angular position sensing

The LT8672 is an active rectifier controller for reverse input protection. It drives an external N-channel MOSFET to replace a power Schottky diode. Its very low quiescent current and fast transient response meet the tough requirements in automotive applications where AC input signals of up to 100kHz are present. These signals are rectified with minimum power dissipation on the external FET, simplifying thermal management on the PCB.With a drop of only 20mV, the LT8672 solution eases the minimum input voltage requirement during cold crank and start-stop, allowing simpler and more efficient circuits. If the input power source fails or is shorted, a fast turn-off minimizes reverse current transients. An available shutdown mode reduces the quiescent current to 3.5?A.An integrated auxiliary boost regulator provides the required boost voltage to turn the external FET fully on. A power good pin signals when the external FET is ready to take load current.Applications Automotive Battery Protection Industrial Supplies Portable Instrumentation
