MinnowBoard MAX is the second generation MinnowBoard (released in July 2014), updating and replacing theoriginal MinnowBoard. The MinnowBoard MAX board has an upgraded 64-bit IntelAtom E3800 (Bay Trail-I) processor with better graphics and revised I/O, shrinks the footprint by more than half, supports additional operating systems (Linux*, Android*, and Windows*) and significantly improves on the original board on price, performance, and energy consumption.

The MinnowBoard Turbot Dual Ethernet is a partner derivative design: similar to the MinnowBoard Turbot it is a compact and affordable open source hardware platform that puts the power of a 64-bit Intel Atom E38xx Series System on a Chip (SoC) in a small but versatile form factor, with dual- and quad-core versions, and includes two Ethernet ports. Software is compatible with the MinnowBoard Turbot. The latest Turbot design meets FCC and CE Class B regulatory compliance, so this derivative design gets to market faster. This embedded board has an enormous range of capabilities that appeal to intermediate and professional developers and OEMs interested in prototyping and bringing to market high-performance IoT and embedded applications and products.

The MinnowBoard Turbot has the same form factor, user connections, connector locations, mounting holes, and High-Speed and Low-Speed Expansion connectors as the MinnowBoard MAX, and runs the same MinnowBoard MAX software. The MinnowBoard Turbot is qualified for regulatory compliance (FCC Part 15 Class A, CE Class A, IEC-60950, RoHS/WEEE).
