AD6655ABCPZRL7-125

Part Number : AD6655ABCPZRL7-125

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD6655 is a mixed-signal intermediate frequency (IF) receiver consisting of dual 14-bit, 80 MSPS/105 MSPS/125 MSPS/150 MSPS ADCs and a wideband digital downconverter (DDC). The AD6655 is designed to support communications applications where low cost, small size, and versatility are desired. The dual ADC core features a multistage, differential pipelined architecture with integrated output error correction logic. Each ADC features wide bandwidth differential sample-and-hold analog input amplifiers supporting a variety of user-selectable input ranges. An integrated voltage reference eases design considerations. A duty cycle stabilizer is provided to compensate for variations in the ADC clock duty cycle, allowing the converters to maintain excellent performance.ADC data outputs are internally connected directly to the digital downconverter (DDC) of the receiver, simplifying layout and reducing interconnection parasitics. The digital receiver has two channels and provides processing flexibility. Each receive channel has four cascaded signal processing stages: a 32-bit frequency translator (numerically controlled oscillator (NCO)), a half-band decimating filter, a fixed FIR filter, and an fADC/8 fixed-frequency NCO.In addition to the receiver DDC, the AD6655 has several functions that simplify the automatic gain control (AGC) function in the system receiver. The fast detect feature allows fast overrange detection by outputting four bits of input level information with short latency. In addition, the programmable threshold detector allows monitoring of the incoming signal power using the four fast detect bits of the ADC with low latency. If the input signal level exceeds the programmable threshold, the coarse upper threshold indicator goes high. Because this threshold indicator has low latency, the user can quickly turn down the system gain to avoid an overrange condition. The second AGC-related function is the signal monitor. This block allows the user to monitor the composite magnitude of the incoming signal, which aids in setting the gain to optimize the dynamic range of the overall system. After digital processing, data can be routed directly to the two external 14-bit output ports. These outputs can be set from 1.8 V to 3.3 V CMOS or as 1.8 V LVDS. The CMOS data can also be output in an interleaved configuration at a double data rate using only Port A.The AD6655 receiver digitizes a wide spectrum of IF frequencies. Each receiver is designed for simultaneous reception of the main channel and the diversity channel. This IF sampling architecture greatly reduces component cost and complexity compared with traditional analog techniques or less integrated digital methods.Flexible power-down options allow significant power savings, when desired.Programming for setup and control is accomplished using a 3-bit SPI-compatible serial interface. The AD6655 is available in a 64-lead LFCSP and is specified over the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.Product Highlights Integrated dual, 14-bit, 150 MSPS ADC. Integrated wideband decimation filter and 32-bit complex NCO. Fast overrange detect and signal monitor with serial output. Proprietary differential input maintains excellent SNR performance for input frequencies up to 450 MHz. Flexible output modes, including independent CMOS, interleaved CMOS, IQ mode CMOS, and interleaved LVDS. SYNC input allows synchronization of multiple devices. 3-bit SPI port for register programming and register readback.Applications Communications Diversity radio systems Multimode digital receivers (3G) TD-SCDMA, WiMax, WCDMA, CDMA2000, GSM, EDGE, LTE I/Q demodulation systems Smart antenna systems General-purpose software radios Broadband data applications

AD736BRZ-R7

Part Number : AD736BRZ-R7

Analog Devices Inc.
The AD736 is a low power, precision, monolithic true rms-to-dc converter. It is laser trimmed to provide a maximum error of ±0.3 mV ± 0.3% of reading with sine wave inputs. Furthermore, it maintains high accuracy while measuring a wide range of input waveforms, including variable duty-cycle pulses and triac (phase)-controlled sine waves. The low cost and small size of this converter make it suitable for upgrading the performance of non-rms precision rectifiers in many applications. Compared to these circuits, the AD736 offers higher accuracy at an equal or lower cost. The AD736 can compute the rms value of both ac and dc input voltages. It can also be operated as an ac-coupled device by adding one external capacitor. In this mode, the AD736 can resolve input signal levels of 100 μV rms or less, despite variations in temperature or supply voltage. High accuracy is also maintained for input waveforms with crest factors of 1 to 3. In addition, crest factors as high as 5 can be measured (introducing only 2.5% additional error) at the 200 mV full-scale input level. The AD736 has its own output buffer amplifier, thereby pro-viding a great deal of design flexibility. Requiring only 200 μA of power supply current, the AD736 is optimized for use in portable multimeters and other battery-powered applications. The AD736 allows the choice of two signal input terminals: a high impedance FET input (1012 Ω) that directly interfaces with High-Z input attenuators and a low impedance input (8 kΩ) that allows the measurement of 300 mV input levels while operating from the minimum power supply voltage of +2.8 V, −3.2 V. The two inputs can be used either single ended or differentially. The AD736 has a 1% reading error bandwidth that exceeds 10 kHz for the input amplitudes from 20 mV rms to 200 mV rms while consuming only 1 mW.The AD736 is available in four performance grades. The AD736J and AD736K grades are rated over the 0°C to +70°C and −20°C to +85°C commercial temperature ranges. The AD736A and AD736B grades are rated over the −40°C to +85°C industrial temperature range. The AD736 is available in three low cost, 8-lead packages: PDIP, SOIC, and CERDIP.PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS The AD736 is capable of computing the average rectified value, absolute value, or true rms value of various input signals. Only one external component, an averaging capacitor, is required for the AD736 to perform true rms measurement. The low power consumption of 1 mW makes the AD736 suitable for many battery-powered applications. A high input impedance of 1012 Ω eliminates the need for an external buffer when interfacing with input attenuators. A low impedance input is available for those applications that require an input signal up to 300 mV rms operating from low power supply voltages.

It accurately amplifies a small differential input voltage in the presence of large common-mode voltages up to 65 V (>500 V with an external PNP transistor). The AD8212 is ideal for current monitoring across a shunt resistor in applications controlling loads, such as motors and solenoids. The current output of the device is proportional to the input differential voltage. The user can select an external resistor to set the desired gain. The typical common-mode voltage range of the AD8212 is 7 V to 65 V.Another feature of the AD8212 is high voltage operation, which is achieved by using an external high voltage breakdown PNP transistor. In this configuration, the common-mode range of the AD8212 is equal to the breakdown of the external PNP transistor. Therefore, operation at several hundred volts is easily achieved. The AD8212 features a patented output base current compensation circuit for high voltage operation mode. This ensures that no base current is lost through the external transistor and excellent output accuracy is maintained regardless of common-mode voltage or temperature.Applications Current shunt measurement Motor controls DC-to-DC converters Power supplies Battery monitoring Remote sensing
