The Witbox 2 is a safe and convenient domestic 3D printer, which is ideal for use in professional and educational settings. This second version includes a new extruder which prints with more materials, a maximum precision auto-levelling system, a new electronics board and even more intuitive interface. New inductor sensor for maximum precision To achieve flawless results, the extruder must always work at a specific distance from the bed The Witbox 2 includes a new inductive sensor that measures this distance with utmost precision. The sensor is made of an electric coil that generates a magnetic field. When the bed moves closer to the field, the sensor detects it at a certain distance away and advises the user once it has reached the correct position via a small red LED. This mechanism enables precise and rigorous levelling, giving first class results. Print what you imagine The extruder is a key component because it pushes the filament through the hot-end causing it to melt. We have designed and developed a new extruder for the Witbox 2 incorporating a Double Drive Gear traction system that provides optimal grip of the filament: applying pressure, the two gearwheels flawlessly slide the filament to the end of the Hot-End. With the risk of obstruction minimised, a greater variety of filaments can be used, such as PLA, bronze, wood, copper and even flexible materials like FilaFlex. Building on an excellent product, we have managed to create a more reliable, convenient and practical 3D printer. A ready-to-use printer that is perfect for working in domestic, professional and educational environments, delivering extraordinary results. 100% BQ electronics The BQ Zum CNC is a new circuit board which has been specifically designed for the Witbox 2 by the BQ hardware team. This component allows a more fluid movement of the motors and offers improved heat dissipation.All the Witbox 2 connections are protected and the digital potentiometers eliminate manual adjustments. The Witbox 2 boasts a new, more intuitive, graphic LCD display with higher resolution, improving user experience. The interface, along with the electronics that control the display, have also been developed in-house. Auto-levelling: making 3D printing easier than ever Witbox 2 has a new auto-levelling system, freeing you from having to manually adjust the bed. When activated, the printer can detect any incline using the inductive sensor. It then adjusts the movement of the motors for perfect printing, even on a sloping surface. Quality printing has never been so easy The Witbox Go! is a smart 3D printer that automates a large part of the printing processes and requires almost no setting up. The texture of its removable bed provides good adherence for the object, and its sensors halt the printing if the bed is not positioned correctly, the extruder clogs up or the filament runs out. And thanks to the Trinamic motor-control chip, it's very silent. A more efficient hotend The Witbox Go!'s new hotend is more compact and thermally efficient. Its cylindrical heater provides fast and even heat distribution, which has allowed us to dispense with the teflon tube and reduce the risk of clogging without sacrificing print quality. Furthermore, the nozzle is insulated by a rubber capsule, enhancing safety and efficiency. The first 3D printer with an Android operating system We've applied our knowledge from the mobile telephone world to the Witbox Go!, the first 3D printer in the world with an Android operating system. It's also the first to incorporate a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The result is a revolution in user experience: improved WiFi connectivity, NFC, easy OTA-updates and mobile based printing. Zetup, simple and intuitive software Zetup has been designed in-house. It's easy to use and is available for PC and Android devices. To print an object all you need to do is select the quality level and fill density. There is free access to the MyMiniFactory object library. The printer can also be used with other open-source software packages. Printing made easier with NFC technology The loading process is easy under Zetup's guidance and the initial setup is automatic. NFC technology in our PLA spools (custom made) conveys data, such as the remaining amount of filament and its colour, directly to the printer. Getting your Witbox Go! up and running is so easy that you'll be launching your first print just minutes after unboxing it. A trim design The Witbox Go! blends in with the decoration of any home or office. With white as the main colour, its minimalist look and simple lines have earned it the Red Dot Best Product Design award. A DIY printer with professional results Hephestos 2 is our second DIY (Do it yourself) printer. Hephestos is based on the Prusa i3, one of the most popular models in the RepRap community. With the latest version, we have evolved it to create a professional printer, while maintaining the spirit of the original. We have opted for a new design that enables us to achieve a larger printing volume, reaching (X) 210mm x (Y) 297mm x (Z) 220mm. Materials and design, the key to stability The Hephestos 2 is a highly stable printer. To achieve this, we have replaced the printed plastic parts with metallic ones. The use of aluminium and steel provide a professional finish and a more robust structure. These materials are combined with semi-transparent polymethacrylate parts that partially conceal the internal mechanism of the printer. It also has three support points and a retractable leg, which moves on the Z axis to adjust the height and stabilise the printer. 3, 2, 1… Print! Our goal was to enable you to have the Hephestos 2 assembled and ready to print in less than 2 hours. The parts have been designed with this in mind; reducing the quantity of additional components to a minimum and optimising the packaging for your convenience and to make them easier to recognise. The end result is a printer with elegant lines and a fast and effective setup. If you can imagine it, you can print it Hephestos 2 can print 3D pieces with the majority of the materials available on the market, such as bronze, wood or copper filament. This is all thanks to the new extruder, which is 100% designed by BQ and includes a Double Drive Gear traction system. This component consists of two gearwheels that press and pull the filament along through the Hot-End with optimum traction and grip. This way, the Hephestos 2 can easily print with flexible materials such as FilaFlex. This component has been developed by BQ and includes new features and a micro-USB connection. It also improves the heat dissipation and control of the printer motors. In addition, we have developed the electronic control for the new graphic LCD, which has an even more intuitive interface to simplify the user experience.
