The MAX22007 is a software-configurable four-channelanalog output device that drives a voltage or current outputon each channel. All outputs are protected to ±42VP-Pfor high-voltage supply of HVDD = 8V to 20V and HVSS =-2V to 0V.Each output channel of the MAX22007 features a 12-bitDAC with fast settling time using a shared internal voltagereference. The device offers low-offset, high-voltage amplifiersto condition the signal from low-voltage DAC outputsto high-voltage or current outputs. If one output ismiswired, all other outputs remain unaffected and functionnormally. For each channel, an internal comparator canbe used to determine the load impedance and allows themicrocontroller to intelligently select for voltage or currentoutput mode. All outputs are kept safe by integratedcurrent protection for functional and thermal robustness. The MAX22007 also includes a thermal shutdown circuitthat protects the device when the junction temperature exceeds165°C (typ). The MAX22007 communicates with a microcontroller usinga SPI interface at clock rates up to 30MHz with anoptional eight-bit CRC for improved data integrity. EightGPIOs can be used to interface and control other resourcesin the application circuit. The MAX22007 operatesfrom a 2.7V to 5.5V VDD low-voltage supply and an 8Vto 24V HVDD positive high-voltage supply. The negativevoltage supply HVSS can be set between -2V and 0V.The MAX22007 is available in an 8mm x 8mm 56-pinTQFN package and operates over the -40°C to +85°Ctemperature range with 2.5kV HBM ESD protection on allpins.ApplicationsBuilding Automation Analog OutputsConfigurable Analog Output CardsFactory Automation Analog OutputsProcess AutomationProgrammable Logic Controllers
