The MAX20360 is a highly integrated and programmablepower management solution designed for ultra-low-powerwearable applications. It is optimized for size and efficiencyto enhance the value of the end product by extendingbattery life and shrinking the overall solution size. A flexibleset of power-optimized voltage regulators, includingmultiple buck, boost and buck-boost converters, and linearregulators, provides a high level of integration and theability to create a fully optimized power architecture. Thequiescent current of each regulator is ultra-low targeted atextending battery life in always-on applications.The MAX20360 includes a complete battery managementsolution with battery seal, charger, power path, and fuelgauge. Both thermal management and input protectionare built into the charger. The device also includes a factoryprogrammable button controller with multiple inputs thatare customizable to fit specific product UX requirements.Three integrated LED current sinks are included for indicatoror backlighting functions, and an ERM/LRA driver withautomatic resonance tracking is capable of providing sophisticatedhaptic feedback to the user. A low noise, 1.5Wbuck-boost converter provides a clean way to power LEDscommonly used in optical heart-rate systems. The deviceis configurable through an I2C interface that allows for programmingvarious functions and reading the device status,including the ability to read temperature and supply voltageswith the integrated ADC. This device is available ina 72-bump, 0.5mm pitch, 4.88mm x 4.19mm, wafer-levelpackage (WLP) and operates over the -40°C to +85°C extendedtemperature range.ApplicationsWearable DevicesIoT
