The LTC4060 is a complete fast charging system for NiMH or NiCd batteries. Just a few external components are needed to design a standalone linear charging system. An external PNP transistor provides charge current that is user programmable with a resistor. A small external capacitor sets the maximum charge time. No external current sense resistor is needed, and no blocking diode is required. The IC automatically senses the DC input supply and battery insertion or removal. Heavily discharged batteries are initially charged at a C/5 rate before a fast charge is applied. Fast charge is terminated using the ??V detection method. Backup termination consists of a programmable timer and battery overvoltage detector. An optional external NTC thermistor can be used for temperature-based qualification of charging. An optional programmable recharge feature automatically recharges batteries after discharge.Manual shutdown is accomplished with the SHDN pin, while removing input power automatically puts the LTC4060 into sleep mode. During shutdown or sleep mode, battery drain is

The LTC2604/LTC2614/LTC2624 are quad 16-,14- and 12-bit 2.5V to 5.5V rail-to-rail voltage output DACs in 16-lead narrow SSOP packages. These parts have separate reference inputs for each DAC. They have built-in high performance output buffers and are guaranteed monotonic. These parts establish advanced performance standards for output drive, crosstalk and load regulation in single supply, voltage output multiples. The parts use a simple SPI/MICROWIRE?compatible 3-wire serial interface which can be operated at clock rates up to 50MHz. Daisy-chain capability and a hardware CLR function are included. The LTC2604/LTC2614/LTC2624 incorporate a poweron reset circuit. During power-up, the voltage outputs rise less than 10mV above zero scale; and after power-up, they stay at zero scale until a valid write and update take place. The power-on reset circuit resets the LTC2604-1/ LTC2614-1/LTC2624-1 to midscale. The voltage outputs stay at midscale until a valid write and update take place.Applications Mobile Communications Process Control and Industrial Automation Instrumentation Automatic Test Equipment

The LTC2950 is a micropower, wide input voltage range, pushbutton ON/OFF controller. The part contains a pushbutton input with independently programmable ON and OFF debounce times that control the toggling of an open drain enable output. The part also contains a simple microprocessor interface to allow for proper system housekeeping prior to power down. Under system fault conditions, an internal KILL timer ensures proper power down. The LTC2950 operates over a wide 2.7V to 26.4V input voltage range to accommodate a wide variety of input power supplies. Very low quiescent current (6?A typical) makes the LTC2950 ideally suited for battery powered applications. Two versions of the part are available to accommodate either positive or negative enable polarities. The parts are available in either 8-lead 3mm ? 2mm DFN or ThinSOT packages.Applications Portable Instrumentation Meters Blade Servers Portable Customer Service PDA Desktop and Notebook Computers

The ADCMP604?/ ADCMP605 are very fast comparators fabricated on the Analog Devices, Inc. proprietary XFCB2 process. These comparators are exceptionally versatile and easy to use. Features include an input range from VEE ? 0.5 V to VCCI + 0.2 V, low noise, LVDS-compatible output drivers, and TTL/CMOS latch inputs with adjustable hysteresis and/or shut-down inputs. The devices offer 1.5 ns propagation delays with 1 ps rms random jitter (RJ). Overdrive and slew rate dispersion are typically less than 50 ps.A flexible power supply scheme allows the devices to operate with a single 2.5 V positive supply and a ?0.5 V to +2.7 V input signal range up to a 5.5 V positive supply with a ?0.5 V to +5.7 V input signal range. Split input/output supplies, with no sequencing restrictions on the ADCMP605, support a wide input signal range with greatly reduced power consumption. The LVDS-compatible output stage is designed to drive any standard LVDS input. The comparator input stage offers robust protection against large input overdrive, and the outputs do not phase reverse when the valid input signal range is exceeded. High speed latch and programmable hysteresis features are also provided in a unique single-pin control option. The ADCMP604 is available in a 6-lead SC70 package, and the ADCMP605 is available in a 12-lead LFCSP.APPLICATIONS High speed instrumentation Clock and data signal restoration Logic level shifting or translation Pulse spectroscopy High speed line receivers Threshold detection Peak and zero-crossing detectors High speed trigger circuitry Pulse-width modulators Current-/voltage-controlled oscillators Automatic test equipment (ATE)
