The LT8495 is an adjustable frequency (250kHz to 1.5MHz) monolithic switching regulator with a power-on reset and watchdog timer. Quiescent current can be less than 9?A when operating and is ~0.3?A when SWEN, WDE and RSTIN are low. Configurable as a SEPIC, boost or flyback converter, the low ripple Burst Mode operation maintains high efficiency at low output current while keeping output ripple below 10mV. Dual supply pins (VIN and BIAS) allow the part to automatically operate from the most efficient supply. Input supply voltage can be up to 60V for SEPIC topologies and up to 32V (with ride-through up to 60V) for boost and flyback topologies. After start-up, battery life is extended since the part can draw current from its output (BIAS) even when VIN voltage drops below 2.5V.The reset and watchdog timeout periods are independently adjustable using external capacitors. Using a resistor divider on the SWEN pin provides a programmable undervoltage lockout (UVLO) for the converter. A resistor divider connected to RSTIN provides UVLO control that asserts the RST pin.Additional features such as frequency foldback and soft-start are integrated. Fault tolerance in the TSSOP allows for adjacent pin shorts or an open without raising the output voltage above its programmed value. The LT8495 is available in 20-lead QFN and 20-lead TSSOP packages with exposed pads for low thermal resistance.Applications Automotive ECU Power Power for Portable Products Industrial Supplies

The LTC4420 is a dual input monolithic PowerPath? prioritizer, with low operating current, that provides backup switchover for keeping critical circuitry alive during brownout and power loss conditions. Unlike diode-OR products, little current is drawn from the inactive supply even if its voltage is greater than the active supply.Internal 2?, current limited PMOS switches provide power path selection from a primary input (V1) or a backup input (V2) to the output. Two adjustable voltage monitors set via external resistive dividers provide flexibility in setting V1 to V2 switchover and V2 undervoltage thresholds. V1 is monitored continuously while V2 supply monitoring includes controllable low duty cycle UV monitoring. When primary input V1 drops, the ADJ monitor causes OUT to be switched to V2. When V2 drops, it is disconnected from OUT if V2DIS is low. Fast non-overlap switchover circuitry prevents reverse and cross conduction while minimizing output droop.Auxiliary voltage monitor CMP1 provides flexible voltage monitoring and output V2OK provides V2 undervoltage status. Freshness seal?mode prevents V2 battery discharge during storage or shipment.Applications Low Power Battery Backup Portable Equipment Point-of-Sale (POS) Equipment

LTM4636 Demo Board | Buck μModule Regulator, Stacked Inductor, 4.7V ≤ VIN ≤ 15V, VOUT = 0.6V to 3.3V @ 40A

Analog Devices Inc.
Demonstration circuit 2230A-A features the LTM4636EY, a 40A high efficiency, switch mode step-down power μModule® regulator. The input voltage range is from 4.7V to 15V. For input voltage range from 4.7V to 5.5V, short PVCC pin to VIN pin with R8 = R21 = 0Ω and remove R17. The output voltage range is 0.6V to 3.3V. Derating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT, frequency and thermal conditions. The board operates in continuous conduction mode in heavy load conditions. For high efficiency at low load currents, the MODE_PLLIN jumper selects pulse-skipping mode for noise sensitive applications or Burst Mode® operation in less noise sensitive applications. The MODE_PLLIN pin also allows the LTM4636 to synchronize to an external clock signal. DC2230A-A has the option of choosing both internal and external compensation circuit for LTM4636. Tying the PHASMD pin to different voltage generates certain phase difference between MODE_PLLIN and CLKOUT. The LTM4636 data sheet must be read in conjunction with this demo manual prior to working on or modifying demo circuit DC2230A-A.
