50W: 92% Efficiency Compact Isolated DC-DC Reference Design for 24V/36V/48V Battery Systems & UPS

Description

TIDA-00711 Design is a compact: low cost: high efficiency: dual output: 50W: isolated DC-DC converter solution designed for use in Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS): energy storage banks and battery powered systems  that require regulated and isolated power for internal operation. This reference design is an isolated SEPIC converter implemented using the wide input: current mode controller LM5020. The design is low cost due to minimal external component count compared to standard flyback designs realized with 384x series controllers. Additionally: The design operates at high switching frequency of 300kHz: resulting in smaller magnetics and high power density solution. TIDA-00711 design has built-in protections for output overcurrent: and input under-voltage protection. The hardware is tested to meet conducted emission norm EN55011/22 Class A.
