Obsolete-Digital Audio SerDes Over Twisted Pair or Coax for Remote Automotive Audio Systems
Description
This reference design is a I2S serializer and audio serializer that has a high speed digital serial interface to connect a remote audio unit using I2S and TDM mode (e.g. amplifier) to a radio or infotainment system. It uses FPD-Link III SerDes technology to transmit audio data and bidirectional control signals over shielded twisted pair or coax cable. Application examples are premium radio and infotainment systems: external power amplifiers.
