PMP3020 uses the UCC2809-1 in an Isolated Flyback configuration to generate 12V at 2.5A. This flyback converter is designed to operate in discontinuous mode, this helps to keep the magnetics small. The supply operates at 100KHz to keep the efficiency above 80% at full load.
