Description

PMP10726 is a synchronous 4-switch buck-boost converter which utilizes the LM5175 controller for USB Type-C car charger adapter applications. The output voltage can be selected for 5V: 9V: 15V: or 20V with a maximum output power of 50W by using I2C to adjust the TPL0401A-10 digital potentiometer. This design also uses the TPS70933 LDO to power the digital potentiometer. The LM5175 average current loop sets a maximum output current of 6.25A. Additional pulse-by-pulse current limiting is inherent in the current-mode controller.
