The SN65LBC184DR is a robust RS-485 differential transceiver designed for reliable data communication in electrically noisy environments. Featuring integrated transient voltage suppression and high-level ESD protection (up to ±30 kV), it offers enhanced immunity against surges and noise without requiring external components. Supporting data rates up to 250 kbps, it includes fail-safe receiver design, thermal shutdown, and glitch-free power-up/down protection. Its 1/4 unit load capability allows up to 128 devices on a single bus, making it ideal for industrial networks, motor control, and utility metering applications.
