Self-Clinching Nuts
PEM CLA/CLS/CLSS Self-Clinching Nuts offer simple, press-in installation and provide load-bearing threads in thin sheets with high pushout and torque-out resistance. The nuts are installed by placing them into properly sized holes in sheets and applying a parallel squeezing force to the head of the nut. The sheet metal surrounding the head cold flows into an undercut, making the fastener an integral part of the sheet. The serrated clinching ring prevents the fastener from rotating after installation. The CLA series is compatible with aluminum anodizing and recommended for use in steel or aluminum sheets HRB 50 / HB 82 or less. The CLS/CLSS series are recommended for use in steel or aluminum sheets HRB 70 / HB 125 or less. PEM CLA/CL/CLSS Self-Clinching Nuts are non-magnetic and corrosion-resistant.
