Description

Specialising in laser technology in electronics components, LightFab UG is based in the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology in Aachen, Germany.  The name itself comes from the microscanner that is used to manufacture their components by laser light, which is known as the LightFab, which LightFab themselves produce. They primarily manufacture micro structured glass components using high power ultrafast lasers for a range of industries and applications. In recent times, LightFab have been known for their 3D Printer which can be used for direct laser writing of transparent materials as well as their expertise in Selective Laser Induced Etching (SLE), which is a new process for the quick production of true 3D devices constructed from transparent materials which can include cavities, tunnels and even mounted moving parts.
