12Vin: ±5Vout: 1W Isolated SIP DC/DC module - Reference Design
Texas Instruments
The PMP4401 is a 12Vin: ±5Vout: 1W reference design module which is implemented in an industry standard SIP pinout. It includes a constant on-time synchronous Fly-Buck controller LM25018. The solution has high efficiency and good line and load regulation with 1:500V DC isolation. The power module was designed with minimized components for cost sensitive applications. PMP4394: PMP4401: and PMP4412-PM4415 have the same pinout and can be replaced by each other without modification. The isolated bipolar outputs make the design ideal for powering noise sensitive circuits used in industrial applications.

The AD7879/AD7889 are 12-bit successive approximationanalog-to-digital converters (SAR ADCs) with a synchronousserial interface and low on-resistance switches for driving 4-wireresistive touch screens. The AD7879/AD7889 work with a verylow power supply?a single 1.6 V to 3.6 V supply?and feature athroughput rate of 105 kSPS. The devices include a shutdownmode that reduces current consumption to less than 6 ?A.To reduce the effects of noise from LCDs and other sources, theAD7879/AD7889 contain a preprocessing block. Thepreprocessing function consists of a median filter and anaveraging filter. The combination of these two filters provides amore robust solution, discarding the spurious noise in the signaland keeping only the data of interest. The size of both filters isprogrammable. Other user-programmable conversion controlsinclude variable acquisition time and first conversion delay; upto 16 averages can be taken per conversion. The AD7879/AD7889can run in slave mode or standalone (master) mode, using anautomatic conversion sequencer and timer. The AD7879/AD7889 have a programmable pin that canoperate as an auxiliary input to the ADCs, as a battery monitor,or as a general-purpose input/output (GPIO). In addition, aprogrammable interrupt output can operate in three modes: as ageneral-purpose interrupt to signal when new data is available(DAV), as an interrupt to indicate when limits are exceeded(INT), or as a pen-down interrupt when the screen is touched(PENIRQ). The AD7879/AD7889 offer temperaturemeasurement and touch pressure measurement. The AD7879 is available in a 12-ball, 1.6 mm ? 2 mm WLCSPand in a 16-lead, 4 mm ? 4 mm LFCSP. The AD7889 is availablein a backside coated version of the WLCSP. Both devices supportan SPI interface (AD7879/AD7889) or an I2C interface (AD7879-1/AD7889-1).Applications Personal digital assistants Smart handheld devices Touch screen monitors Point-of-sale terminals Medical devices Cell phones

The HMC987LP5E 1-to-9 fanout buffer is designed for low noise clock distribution. It is intended to generate relatively square wave outputs with rise/fall times < 100 ps. The low skew and jitter outputs of the HMC987LP5E, combined with its fast rise/fall times, leads to controllable low-noise switching of downstream circuits such as mixers, ADCs/DACs or SERDES devices. The noise floor is particularly important in these applications, when the clocknetwork bandwidth is wide enough to allow squarewave switching. Driven at 2 GHz, outputs of the HMC987LP5E have a noise floor of ?166 dBc/Hz, corresponding to a jitter density of 0.6 asec/rtHz - or 50 fs over an 8 GHz bandwidth. The input stage can be driven single-ended or differentially, in a variety of signal formats (CML, LVDS, LVPECL or CMOS), AC or DC coupled. The input stage also features adjustable input impedance. It has 8 LVPECL outputs, and 1 CML output with adjustable swing/power-level in 3 dB steps.Individual output stages may be enabled or disabled for power-savings when not required using either hardware control pins, or under control of a serial-port interface.APPLICATIONS SONET, Fibre Channel,?GigE Clock Distribution ADC/DAC Clock Distribution Low Skew and Jitter Clock?or Data Fanout Wireless/Wired Communications Level Translation High Performance Instrumentation Medical Imaging Single-Ended to Differential?Conversion

The LTC6905-X series of parts are precision, fixed frequency, silicon oscillators designed to minimize board space while maximizing accuracy and ease of use.Programmed at the factory to a fixed frequency, the LTC6905-X series of parts need no external trim components. An internal three-state divider allows for division of the master clock by 1, 2 or 4, providing 3 frequencies (for each device). The LTC6905-X series operate with a single 2.7V to 5.5V power supply and provide a rail-to-rail, 50% duty cycle, square wave output. The OE pin will disable the output when brought low and synchronously enable the output when brought high, avoiding pulse slivers. The four products of the LTC6905-X family are: LTC6905-133: fOSC = 133MHz, 66.7MHz, 33.3MHz LTC6905-100: fOSC = 100MHz, 50MHz, 25MHz LTC6905-96: fOSC = 96MHz, 48MHz, 24MHz LTC6905-80: fOSC = 80MHz, 40MHz, 20MHz?The LTC6905-X series of parts are designed with a factory trim option to modify the divider ratios from 1, 2, 4 to 8, 16, 32. A second trim option allows for additional master clock frequencies. 36-57Vin 5.4Vout 150mA Uses TPS54061 Features Light-load Efficiency Telecom Voltage Reference Design
Texas Instruments
This design uses a synchronous buck converter to provide light load efficiency with predictable ripple off Telecom" voltage range. This approach is described in the TPS54061 datasheet from page 23 onwards. A low fixed frequency of 50kHz with operation in the discontinuous mode at all: but the highest loading achieves excellent efficiency at light loads without the "burst mode" which creates unpredicable ripple. PMP9535 extends operation into the 36-57V input range: and demonstates stability at 150mA load where conduction becomes continuous."

Feedback Plots Define Op Amp AC Performance
Texas Instruments
Feedback plots simplify the analysis of an op amp's closed-loop AC performance by showing bandwidth and stability conditions as a function of the op amp's gain and phase response. These plots also provide insight into noise performance and the special feedback requirements of circuits such as integrating converters photodiode amplifiers composite amplifiers and active feedback circuits.
