The LTM4677 is a dual 18A or single 36A step-down ?Module? (power module) DC/DC regulator with 40ms turn0on time. It features remote configurability and telemetry-monitoring of power management parameters over PMBus?an open standard I2C-based digital interface protocol. The LTM4677 is comprised of fast analog control loops, precision mixedsignal circuitry, EEPROM, power MOSFETs, inductors and supporting components. The LTM4677?s 2-wire serial interface allows outputs to be margined, tuned and ramped up and down at programmable slew rates with sequencing delay times. Input and output currents and voltages, output power, temperatures, uptime and peak values are readable. Custom configuration of the EEPROM contents is not required. At start-up, output voltages, switching frequency, and channel phase angle assignments can be set by pin-strapping resistors. The LTpowerPlay? GUI and DC1613 USB-to-PMBus converter and demo kits are available. The LTM4677 is pin compatible with the LTM4676A (dual 13A) and is offered in a 16mm ? 16mm ? 5.01mm BGA package available with SnPb or RoHS compliant terminal finish.APPLICATIONS System Optimization, Characterization and Data Mining?in Prototype, Production and Field Environments Telecom, Datacom, and Storage Systems

Using TDM Function to Interface Four AIC33 CODECs with a Single Host Processor
Texas Instruments
This application report discusses how to use the TLV320AIC33 audio data port's time-division multiplexing (TDM) function to connect interface and run four TLV320AIC33 codec devices simultaneously under the control of a single host processor. Four TLV320AIC33 EVM boards and one USB-MODEVM board were used to test the interface and function.

The LTC6811 is a multicell battery stack monitor that measures up to 12 series connected battery cells with a total measurement error of less than 1.2mV. The cell measurement range of 0V to 5V makes the LTC6811 suitable for most battery chemistries. All 12 cells can be measured in 290?s, and lower data acquisition rates can be selected for high noise reduction.Multiple LTC6811 devices can be connected in series, permitting simultaneous cell monitoring of long, high voltage battery strings. Each LTC6811 has an isoSPI interface for high speed, RF-immune, long distance communications. Using the LTC6811-1, multiple devices are connected in a daisy chain with one host processor connection for all devices. Using the LTC6811-2, multiple devices are connected in parallel to the host processor, with each device individually addressed. The LTC6811 can be powered directly from the battery stack or from an isolated supply. The LTC6811 includes passive balancing for each cell, with individual PWM duty cycle control for each cell. Other features include an onboard 5V regulator, five general purpose I/O lines and a sleep mode, where current consumption is reduced to 4?A.Applications Electric and Hybrid Electric Vehicles Backup Battery Systems Grid Energy Storage High Power Portable Equipment

Demonstration circuit DC1425A is a triple output synchronous step-up/dual step-down power supply featuring the LTC3859AIFE. The demo board is has the LTC3859AIFE buck inputs supplied from the boost output. With this boost-then-buck topology, the buck outputs maintain regulation over the entire 4.5V to 36V input range and the application is suitable for automotive or other battery fed applications where low quiescent current is important. The buck controllers provide 5V @ 5A and 8.5V @ 3A and the boost can supply 10V @ 2A when the bucks are drawing their maximim load current.

When a PFC is in discontinuous conduction mode the inductor current will resonant between the boost inductor and MOSFET parasite capacitance. The resonant current can be big enough to distort the PFC current significantly. This application note introduces a digital control scheme based on UCD3XXX to predict the position at which the resonant current first time rises back from negative to zero a
