SEPIC (5V@250mA) for Auxiliary Bias Supply
Texas Instruments
The PMP5298 reference design provides an isolated 5V at 250mA from a 120VAC/60Hz input in less than 1 square inch of board space. This design uses the UCC3813-5 in a non-isolated SEPIC topology. The SEPIC clamping capacitor reduces ringing on the drain of the MOSFET and recaptures leakage energy to improve efficiency.

The ADP1032 is a high performance, isolated micropower management unit (PMU) that combines an isolated flyback and a dc-to-dc regulator providing two isolated power rails. Additionally, the ADP1032 contains four high speed serial peripheral interface (SPI) isolation channels and three general-purpose isolators for channel to channel applications where low power dissipation and small solution size is required. Operating over an input voltage range of 4.5 V to 60 V, the ADP1032 generates isolated output voltages of 6 V to 28 V (adjustable version) or 24 V (fixed version) for VOUT1, and factory programmable voltages of 5.15 V, 5.0 V, or 3.3 V for VOUT2.?By default, the ADP1032 flyback regulator operates at a 250 kHz switching frequency, and the buck regulator operates at 125 kHz.?The two regulators are phase shifted relative to each other to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI). The ADP1032 can be driven by an external oscillator in the range of 350 kHz to 750 kHz to ease noise filtering in sensitive applications.?The digital isolators integrated in the ADP1032 use Analog Devices, Inc., iCoupler? chip scale transformer technology, optimized for low power and low radiated emissions. The ADP1032 is available in a 9 mm ? 7 mm, 41-lead LFCSP and is rated for a ?40?C to +125?C operating junction temperature range.?

The LTM2887 is a complete galvanic digital ?Module? (micromodule) isolator. No external components are required. A single 3.3V or 5V supply powers both sides of the interface through an integrated, isolated DC/DC converter. A logic supply pin allows easy interfacing with different logic levels from 1.62V to 5.5V, independent of the main supply.Available options are compliant with SPI and I2C (master mode only) specifications. The isolated side includes two 5V nominal power supplies, including programmable current limit, each capable of providing more than 100mA of load current. The supplies may be adjusted from their nominal value using a single external resistor.Coupled inductors and an isolation power transformer provide 2500VRMS of isolation between the input and output logic interface. This device is ideal for systems where the ground loop is broken, allowing for a large common mode voltage range. Communication is uninterrupted for common mode transients greater than 30kV/?s.Applications Isolated SPI or I2C Interfaces Industrial Systems Test and Measurement Equipment Breaking Ground Loops

Demonstration circuit DC2247A is a synchronous 2MHz boost LED driver featuring the LT®3922. The LT3922 features a low EMI Silent Switcher architecture and an optional spread spectrum frequency modulation (SSFM) that further reduces EMI. It has a 2A/36V internal power switch, but the demo board has been configured to use a 4V to 28V input and thus has input overvoltage lockout set at 28V. It drives a single string of LEDs at 330mA up to 34V when the input voltage is between 7V and 28V. DC2247A comes with low EMI features including optimized layout, SSFM, and input and output filters. It passes CISPR 25 class 5 conducted and radiated EMI. The LT3922 is protected against both open and short LED conditions and reports these faults. It also includes thermal shutdown.

The AD7745/AD7746 are a high resolution, ?-? capacitance-to-digital converter (CDC). The capacitance to be measured is connected directly to the device inputs. The architecture fea-tures inherent high resolution (24-bit no missing codes, up to 21-bit effective resolution), high linearity (?0.01%), and high accuracy (?4 fF factory calibrated). The AD7745/AD7746 capacitance input range is ?4 pF (changing), while it can accept up to 17 pF common-mode capacitance (not changing), which can be balanced by a programmable on-chip, digital-to-capacitance converter (CAPDAC). The AD7745 has one capacitance input channel, while the AD7746 has two channels. Each channel can be configured as single-ended or differential. The AD7745/AD7746 are designed for floating capacitive sensors. For capacitive sensors with one plate connected to ground, the AD7747 is recommended. The parts have an on-chip temperature sensor with a resolution of 0.1?C and accuracy of ?2?C. The on-chip voltage reference and the on-chip clock generator eliminate the need for any external components in capacitive sensor applications. The parts have a standard voltage input, which together with the differential reference input allows easy interface to an external temperature sensor, such as an RTD, thermistor, or diode. The AD7745/AD7746 have a 2-wire, I2C-compatible serial interface. Both parts can operate with a single power supply from 2.7 V to 5.25 V. They are specified over the automotive temperature range of ?40?C to +125?C and are housed in a 16-lead TSSOP package. The ADMV1013 is a wideband, microwave upconverter optimized for point to point microwave radio designs operating in the 24 GHz to 44 GHz radio frequency (RF) range. The upconverter offers two modes of frequency translation. The device is capable of direct conversion to RF from baseband in-phase quadrature (I/Q) input signals, as well as single-sideband (SSB) upconversion from complex intermediate frequency (IF) inputs. The baseband I/Q input path can be disabled and modulated complex IF signals, anywhere from 0.8 GHz to 6.0 GHz, can be inserted in the IF path and upconverted to 24 GHz to 44 GHz while suppressing the unwanted sideband by typically better than 26 dBc. The serial port interface (SPI) allows adjustment of the quadrature phase and mixer gate voltage to allow optimum sideband suppression and local oscillator (LO) nulling. In addition, the SPI interface allows powering down the output envelope detector to reduce power consumption. The ADMV1013 upconverter comes in a 40-terminal land grid array package (LGA) package. The ADMV1013 operates over the ?40?C to +85?C case temperature range.Applications Point to point microwave radios Radar, electronic warfare systems Instrumentation, automatic test equipment (ATE)
