The AD9671 is designed for low cost, low power, small size, andease of use for medical ultrasound applications. It contains eightchannels of a VGA with an LNA, a CW harmonic rejection I/Qdemodulator with programmable phase rotation, an AAF, anADC, and a digital demodulator and decimator for dataprocessing and bandwidth reduction. Each channel features a maximum gain of up to 52 dB, a fullydifferential signal path, and an active input preamplifier termination. The channel is optimized for high dynamic performance andlow power in applications where a small package size is critical. The LNA has a single-ended to differential gain that is selectablethrough the serial port interface (SPI). Assuming a 15 MHz noisebandwidth (NBW) and a 21.6 dB LNA gain, the LNA input SNRis 94 dB. In CW Doppler mode, each LNA output drives an I/Qdemodulator that has independently programmable phaserotation with 16 phase settings.Power-down of individual channels is supported to increasebattery life for portable applications. Standby mode allows quickpower-up for power cycling. In CW Doppler operation, theVGA, AAF, and ADC are powered down. The ADC containsseveral features designed to maximize flexibility and minimizesystem cost, such as a programmable clock, data alignment, andprogrammable digital test pattern generation. The digital testpatterns include built-in fixed patterns, built-in pseudorandompatterns, and custom user defined test patterns entered via the SPI.Applications Medical imaging/ultrasound Nondestructive testing (NDT)

The AD7405 is a high performance, second-order, ?-? modulatorthat converts an analog input signal into a high speed, single-bitLVDS data stream, with on-chip digital isolation based onAnalog Devices, Inc., iCoupler? technology. The AD7405operates from a 5 V (VDD1) power supply and accepts adifferential input signal of ?250 mV (?320 mV full-scale). Thedifferential input is ideally suited to shunt voltage monitoring inhigh voltage applications where galvanic isolation is required. The analog input is continuously sampled by a high performanceanalog modulator, and converted to a ones density digital outputstream with a data rate of up to 20 MHz. The originalinformation can be reconstructed with an appropriate digitalfilter to achieve 88 dB signal to noise ratio (SNR) at 78.1 kSPS.The LVDS input/output can use a 5 V or a 3.3 V supply (VDD2).The LVDS interface is digitally isolated. The LVDS interfacetechnology, combined with monolithic transformer technology, means the on-chip isolation provides outstanding performancecharacteristics, superior to alternatives such as optocouplerdevices. The AD7405 device is offered in a 16-lead, wide-bodySOIC package and has an operating temperature range of ?40?Cto +125?C.Applications Shunt current monitoring AC motor controls Power and solar inverters Wind turbine inverters Data acquisition systems Analog-to-digital and opto-isolator replacements

35V to 60V Input: 600W Output Dual-Phase Buck Converter Design with Greater than 97% Efficiency
Texas Instruments
This 600W wide voltage input dual phase power converter uses two emulated current-mode controllers 180 degrees out of phase to minimize input and output ripple current. Compared to conventional isolated power converters: this synchronous buck architecture provides a reduced footprint and BOM cost at higher levels of efficiency: greater than 97% over several operating conditions.

36-57Vin 5.4Vout 150mA Uses TPS54061 Features Light-load Efficiency Telecom Voltage Reference Design
Texas Instruments
This design uses a synchronous buck converter to provide light load efficiency with predictable ripple off Telecom" voltage range. This approach is described in the TPS54061 datasheet from page 23 onwards. A low fixed frequency of 50kHz with operation in the discontinuous mode at all: but the highest loading achieves excellent efficiency at light loads without the "burst mode" which creates unpredicable ripple. PMP9535 extends operation into the 36-57V input range: and demonstates stability at 150mA load where conduction becomes continuous."

Power Regulation & Distribution for Intel SkyLake™ Processor Platform Reference Design
Texas Instruments
TI's optimized solution for power regulation: distribution: and sequencing for Intel SkyLake™ Processor platform. Utilizing high efficiency DC/DC switching regulators and integrated load switches: this design demonstrates regulation of four unique power rails and distribution of 21 different points-of-load. Significant reduction in board area is accomplished with quad-channel load switches and high-efficiency: integrated DC/DC step-down converters. Furthermore: hybrid I2C/GPIO control reduces or eliminates GPIO requirements: thereby simplifying PCB layout. This design operates with an input voltage range of 4.5V to 15V: simulating 2S/3S Li-Ion battery topologies. A PC-based GUI controls on-board power components over a standard USB cable. Real-time power delivery status feedback is provided via on-board LEDs as well as PC graphics.

The LTM9008-14/LTM9007-14/LTM9006-14 are 8-channel, simultaneous sampling 14-bit A/D converters designed for digitizing high frequency, wide dynamic range signals. AC performance includes 73dB SNR and 90dB spurious free dynamic range (SFDR). Low power consumption per channel reduces heat in high channel count applications. Integrated bypass capacitance and flowthrough pinout reduces overall board space requirements.DC specs include ?1LSB INL (typ), ?0.3LSB DNL (typ) and no missing codes over temperature. The transition noise is a low 1.2LSBRMS.The digital outputs are serial LVDS to minimize the number of data lines. Each channel outputs two bits at a time (2-lane mode). At lower sampling rates there is a one bit per channel option (1-lane mode). The ENC+ and ENC? inputs may be driven differentially or single-ended with a sine wave, PECL, LVDS, TTL, or CMOS inputs. An internal clock duty cycle stabilizer allows high performance at full speed for a wide range of clock duty cycles.Applications Communications Cellular Base Stations Software Defined Radios Portable Medical Imaging Multichannel Data Acquisition Nondestructive Testing

Considerations for PCB Layout and Impedance Matching Design in Optical Modules
Texas Instruments
The optical module offers an effective high-speed solution for a growing telecom market. Data rates range from 155 Mbps to 6 Gbps and even up to 10 Gbps. Transmitter optical sub-assemblies (TOSAs) and laser drivers may have different resistances in a given application so the reflection could be worse if the designer does not use an impedance transfer circuit to absorb it.
