The CC2420DB reference design contains schematics and layout files for the CC2420DB module used in development kits. The reference design demonstrates good techniques for CC2420 decoupling and RF layout. For optimum RF performance: the reference design should be copied accurately. This is a 4-layer reference design with a discrete balun and an inverted F PCB antenna. In addition to the RF part: this design contains a DB-9 serial port and a number of IO units. Most of the CC2420 application examples are using this HW platform.

The TPS40170 controller with a pair 60V FETs from our CSD1835x offerings provide a complete high efficiency solution for non-isolated DC/DC needs off a regulated 48V input voltage. The attached design targeted 30V output at 12A and achieved 98% conversion efficiency. The same design was then adjusted to 8V output at same current and test results for this are also attached. The attached Test Reports include thermal images both with and without forced airflow. For lower current applications or applications with significant airflow; lower cost FETs from the CSD1835x series can be used. For outputs at 12Vouts or less: even at same 12A current; a smaller output choke can be used.

The LT8602 is a quad channel, current mode, monolithic buck switching regulator with a programmable power-on reset. All regulators are synchronized to a single oscillator with an adjustable frequency from 250kHz to 2.2MHz. The LT8602 can be configured for micropower Burst Mode operation or pulse-skipping operation at light load. Micropower operation results in quiescent current of 30?A with all four regulators operating in the application below. The high voltage channels are synchronous buck regulators that operate from an input of 3V to 42V. The output currents are up to 1.5A (OUT1) and 2.5A (OUT2). The low voltage channels operate from an input of 2.6V to 5.5V. Internal synchronous power switches provide high efficiency with output currents up to 1.8A. The LT8602 uses a 2-phase clock with channels 1 and 3 operating 180? from channels 2 and 4 to reduce input ripple current on both HV and LV inputs. All channels have cycle-by-cycle current limit, providing protection against shorted outputs. Thermal shutdown provides additional protectionThe LT8602 is available in either a 40-lead 6mm ? 6mm QFN or a 48-Lead 7mm ? 7mm LQFP package.APPLICATIONS Automotive Systems Distributed Supply Regulation Industrial Controls and Power Supplies

The LT3697 is a 35V, 2.5A step-down switching regulator designed to power 5V USB applications. A precise output voltage and programmable cable drop compensation maintain accurate 5V regulation at the USB socket connected to the end of a long cable. The accurate, programmable current limit can eliminate the need for a USB power switch and improve system reliability. The provided 180mA active load reduces output overshoot during load transients. Dual feedback allows regulation on the output of a USB switch and limits cable drop compensation to a maximum of 6.1V output, protecting USB devices during fault conditions. A separate 5V output can be taken from the SYS terminal to power auxiliary circuitry such as a USB hub controller. The LT3697 also provides a load current monitor output and an overcurrent fault indicator. The LT3697 operates from 300kHz to 2.2MHz and withstands input voltage transients up to 60V. The device's output survives shorts to ground and to the battery. A current mode topology is used for fast transient response and good loop stability. Shutdown reduces input supply current to less than 1?A. The LT3697 is available in a 16-lead MSOP package with an exposed pad for low thermal resistance.Applications Automotive USB Industrial USB

The LT8672 is an active rectifier controller for reverse input protection. It drives an external N-channel MOSFET to replace a power Schottky diode. Its very low quiescent current and fast transient response meet the tough requirements in automotive applications where AC input signals of up to 100kHz are present. These signals are rectified with minimum power dissipation on the external FET, simplifying thermal management on the PCB.With a drop of only 20mV, the LT8672 solution eases the minimum input voltage requirement during cold crank and start-stop, allowing simpler and more efficient circuits. If the input power source fails or is shorted, a fast turn-off minimizes reverse current transients. An available shutdown mode reduces the quiescent current to 3.5?A.An integrated auxiliary boost regulator provides the required boost voltage to turn the external FET fully on. A power good pin signals when the external FET is ready to take load current.Applications Automotive Battery Protection Industrial Supplies Portable Instrumentation

Demonstration circuit 1401A is an adjustable 500mA linear regulator featuring the LT3085. Architected as a precision current source and voltage follower, the LT3085 can be used in many applications requiring up to 500mA output current, adjustability down to 0V at the output and no heat sink. The device brings out the collector of the pass transistor to allow low dropout operation when used with multiple supplies. The demo board operates with an input voltage range from 1.7V to 25V (the maximum output voltage is limited by the output capacitor's voltage rating) and provides a jumper-selectable output voltage of 1.2V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V or a user-defined value. For the LT3085 to regulate properly, the voltage on the control pin (VCONTROL) must be more than approximately 1.2V greater than the output voltage.

The PMP6833 reference design uses the UCC28600 green-mode controller to generate a 12V/15W regulated output. The quasi-resonant switching of the UCC28600 allows this low-cost design to achieve a maximum load efficiency is over 83%: while the no load losses are less than 200mW.
