The LTC4282 hot swap controller allows a board to be safely inserted and removed from a live backplane. Using one or more external N-channel pass transistors, board supply voltage and inrush current are ramped up at an adjustable rate. An I2C interface and onboard ADC allows for monitoring of board current, voltage, power, energy and fault status. The device features analog foldback current limiting and supply monitoring for applications from 2.9V to 33V. Dual 12V gate drive allows high power applications to either share safe operating area across parallel MOSFETs or support a 2-stage start-up that first charges the load capacitance followed by enabling a low on-resistance path to the load. The LTC4282 is well suited to high power applications because the precise monitoring capability and accurate current limiting reduce the extremes in which both loads and power supplies must safely operate. Non-volatile configuration allows for flexibility in the autonomous generation of alerts and response to faults.APPLICATIONS Enterprise Servers and Data Storage Systems Network Routers and Switches Base Stations Platform Management

The LTC4126-ADJ is a low-power wireless single-cell Li-Ion battery charger with an integrated step-down DC/DC regulator. The step-down regulator is a low-noise multimode charge pump which is powered from the battery and provides a regulated 1.2V at the output. The switching frequency is set to either 50kHz or 75kHz depending on the mode to keep any switching noise out of the audible range. The constant-current constant-voltage Li-Ion battery charger has automatic recharge, automatic termination by safety timer, and battery temperature monitoring via an NTC pin. Charge current is programmable from 1mA to 50mA via an external resistor. Undervoltage protection disconnects the battery from all loads when the battery voltage is below 3.0V.The small package and minimal external component count make the LTC4126-ADJ and its variants suitable for hearing aid applications and other low power portable devices. The ADL5960 is a wideband vector network analyzer front-end consisting of a resistive bidirectional bridge, down-conversion mixers, programmable IF amplifiers and filters, and a highly flexible local oscillator (LO) interface. The bridge provides >10 dB of directivity up to 17 GHz, and the primary transmission line of the bridge, from RFIN to RFOUT, is wideband impedance matched to 50 ? and has a flat frequency response with The ADL5960 supports several different LO interface configurations that simplify the clocking design of a VNA solution as well as the interfacing of the device to an analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The frequency divider and multipliers in the LO interface enable measurement sweeps beyond the operating frequency range of the source driving the (LOP and LOM) pins. This enables operation over the full 20 GHz bandwidth of the ADL5960 using a 6 GHz synthesizer as the LO source. The IF frequency offset mixer, driven through the (OFP and OFM) interface, enables further simplification by allowing the (swept) RF and LO signals to be driven by the same frequency source. The frequency of the IF output signals is then determined by the low-frequency source driving the (OFP and OFM) interface. Driving this interface at the ADC sample frequency with the divide by 4 enabled, automatically centers the IF output signal in the first Nyquist zone. The IF filters with programmable bandwidth and IF amplifiers with individually programmable gain enable simultaneous dynamic range optimization of the IF signals at the incident channel (IFFP and IFFM) and reverse channel (IFRP and IFRM) IF interfaces. The IF amplifiers have an adjustable output common-mode level and sufficient drive capability to interface directly with a wide range of ADCs.All configurations and functions in the ADL5960 are fully programmable through a 3-wire serial peripheral interface (SPI) using the ADI-SPI interface standard. The LTC4236 offers ideal diode-OR and Hot Swap functions for two power rails by controlling external N-channel MOSFETs. MOSFETs acting as ideal diodes replace two high power Schottky diodes and the associated heat sinks, saving power and board area. A Hot Swap control MOSFET allows a board to be safely inserted and removed from a live backplane by limiting inrush current. The supply output is also protected against short-circuit faults with a fast acting foldback current limit and electronic circuit breaker. The LTC4236 regulates the forward voltage drop across the ideal diode MOSFETs to ensure smooth current transfer from one supply to the other without oscillation. The ideal diode MOSFETs turn on quickly to reduce the load voltage droop during supply switchover. If the input supply fails or is shorted, a fast turn-off minimizes reverse current transients.A current sense amplifier translates the voltage across the sense resistor to a ground referenced signal. The LTC4236 provides adjustable start-up delay, turn-on/-off control, and reports fault and power good status for the supply.Applications Redundant Power Supplies High Availability Systems and Servers Telecom and Network Infrastructure

The LTC2937 is a 6-channel power supply sequencer and voltage supervisor. Supplies are enabled or disabled with precise user controlled order and time spacing. To detect power supply output faults during sequencing and monitoring, the LTC2937 accurately monitors supply turn-on/-off delays and output voltage levels. In the event of a fault, response actions include complete power supply shutdown and optional restarts. Root cause of power faults are logged to EEPROM. For systems with high supply count, a simple single wire connection between multiple LTC2937 devices allows sequencing expansion to 300 supplies. After successful sequencing and supply voltage stabilization, the reset output pulls high to initiate microprocessor or other system activity. To accommodate supply margin testing, the reset output can be disabled. Upon supply turn-off, integrated current sources are available as needed to discharge slowly decaying supplies. Configuration EEPROM supports autonomous operation without software.Applications Network Servers Data Storage Systems Telecom Equipment High Availability Computer Systems

The ADL5566 is a high performance, dual differential amplifier optimized for IF and dc applications. The amplifier offers low noise of 1.3 nV/?Hz and excellent distortion performance over a wide frequency range, making it an ideal driver for high speed 16-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). The ADL5566 is ideally suited for use in high performance, zero IF/complex IF receiver designs. In addition, this device has excellent low distortion for single-ended input drive applications. The ADL5566 provides a gain of 16 dB. For the single-ended input configuration, the gain is reduced to 14 dB. Using two external series resistors for each amplifier expands the gain flexibility of the amplifier and allows for any gain selection from 0 dB to 16 dB for a differential input and 0 dB to 14 dB for a single-ended input. In addition, this device maintains low distortion down to output (VOCM) levels of 1.2 V providing an added capability for driving CMOS ADCs at ac levels up to 2 V p-p.The quiescent current of the ADL5566, using a 3.3 V supply, is typically 70 mA per amplifier. When disabled, it consumes less than 3.5 mA per amplifier and has ?25 dB of input to output isolation at 100 MHz.The device is optimized for wideband, low distortion, and noise performance, giving it unprecedented performance for overall spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR). These attributes, together with the adjustable gain capability, make this device the amplifier of choice for driving a wide variety of ADCs, mixers, pin diode attenuators, SAW filters, and multi-element discrete devices.Fabricated on an Analog Devices, Inc., high speed SiGe process, the ADL5566 is supplied in a compact 4 mm ? 4 mm, 24-lead LFCSP package and operates over the ?40?C to +85?C temperature range.Applications Differential ADC drivers Single-ended to differential conversion RF/IF gain blocks SAW filter interfacing

These devices charge storage elements such as rechargeable Li-Ion batteries, thin film batteries, super capacitors, or conventional capacitors, and power up small electronic devices and battery free systems. The ADP5091/ADP5092 provide efficient conversion of the harvested limited power from a 6 ?W to 600 mW range with submicrowatt operation losses. With the internal cold start circuit, the regulator can start operating at an input voltage as low as 380 mV. After cold startup, the regulator is functional at an input voltage range of 0.08 V to 3.3 V.
